All paid plans are available with monthly or annual billing. Annual billing saves you up to 20% compared to monthly payments.

14-Day Free Trial

All paid plans include a 14-day free trial. You won't be charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel anytime during the trial period.

When You're Billed

  • Monthly billing: Charged on the same date each month (e.g., if you subscribe on the 15th, you'll be billed on the 15th of each month)
  • Annual billing: Charged once per year on your subscription anniversary date
  • Trial conversions: Your first charge occurs when your 14-day trial ends

Upgrading Your Plan

Upgrading your plan is instant and gives you immediate access to additional features and capacity.

How to Upgrade

  1. 1

    Go to Settings

    Click your profile icon in the top right, then select Settings.

  2. 2

    Navigate to Subscription

    Click the Subscription tab in the settings menu.

  3. 3

    Choose a New Plan

    Review the available plans and click Upgrade on your desired plan.

  4. 4

    Complete Payment

    Enter or confirm your payment details. Your new features are available immediately.

Prorated Billing

When you upgrade, you'll receive a prorated credit for the unused portion of your current billing period. This credit is applied to your new plan immediately.

What Happens When You Upgrade

  • New features are available immediately
  • Student and user limits increase instantly
  • AI request limits reset to the new plan's allocation
  • Your billing date remains the same
  • You receive a prorated credit for your previous plan

Downgrading Your Plan

You can downgrade your subscription at any time. The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Before You Downgrade

Make sure your current data fits within the new plan's limits. If you have more students than the new plan allows, you'll need to archive some students before downgrading.

Downgrade Checklist

  • Review student count vs. new plan limit
  • Export any reports you need (some formats may not be available on lower tiers)
  • Complete any AI analysis before your AI limits change
  • Download important data if data retention period will change
  • Notify team members if team features will be removed

What Happens When You Downgrade

  • Changes take effect at the end of your current billing period
  • You keep access to all features until then
  • Data beyond the new retention limit is archived (not deleted)
  • Excess students are automatically archived
  • Team members beyond the new limit lose access

Managing Billing

Update Payment Method

  1. 1

    Go to Settings → Subscription

    Navigate to your subscription settings.

  2. 2

    Click Manage Billing

    This opens the secure Stripe billing portal.

  3. 3

    Update Payment Method

    Add a new card or update your existing payment information.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We never store your full card details.

Switch Billing Cycle

To switch between monthly and annual billing:

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription
  2. Click Change Plan
  3. Select your current plan with the new billing cycle
  4. The change takes effect at your next billing date

School & District Billing

School and District plans can be paid via purchase order (PO) or invoice. Contactbilling@classroompulse.io for institutional billing options.

Invoices & Receipts

Accessing Your Invoices

  1. 1

    Go to Settings → Subscription

    Navigate to your subscription settings.

  2. 2

    Click Manage Billing

    This opens the Stripe billing portal.

  3. 3

    View Invoice History

    Click “Invoice history” to see all past invoices.

  4. 4

    Download or Print

    Click any invoice to download as PDF or print.

Automatic Receipt Emails

You'll receive an automatic email receipt after each successful payment. These emails include:

  • Amount charged
  • Payment date
  • Invoice number
  • Link to download the full invoice

Tax Exemption

If your organization is tax-exempt, contactbilling@classroompulse.io with your tax exemption certificate to update your account.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time. We don't lock you into contracts.

How to Cancel

  1. 1

    Go to Settings → Subscription

    Navigate to your subscription settings.

  2. 2

    Click Cancel Subscription

    You'll see a summary of what happens when you cancel.

  3. 3

    Confirm Cancellation

    Confirm your decision. You can optionally provide feedback.

What Happens When You Cancel

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of your billing period
  • After that, your account reverts to the Free plan
  • Data beyond 90 days is archived (not deleted)
  • Students beyond the Free limit (3) are archived
  • You can reactivate anytime to restore access

Data Retention After Cancellation

We retain your data for 12 months after cancellation. During this time, you can:

  • Resubscribe to restore full access
  • Export your data using the Free plan's export features
  • Request complete data deletion by contacting support

Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers. If you're not satisfied within 30 days of your first payment, contact support for a full refund.

For annual plans, we provide prorated refunds within 60 days of purchase if you decide the service isn't right for you.

Billing FAQ

Why was my payment declined?

Common reasons include: insufficient funds, expired card, incorrect billing address, or your bank flagging the transaction. Try updating your payment method or contact your bank to authorize the charge.

Can I pause my subscription instead of canceling?

Yes! Contact support at support@classroompulse.io to pause your subscription for up to 3 months. This is great for summer breaks.

How do I get a quote for my school or district?

Contact our sales team at sales@classroompulse.io for custom pricing quotes, volume discounts, and multi-year agreements.

Do you offer educator discounts?

Our pricing is already designed specifically for educators. For bulk purchases (10+ licenses), we offer additional volume discounts. Contact sales for details.

What happens to my data if my payment fails?

We'll attempt to charge your card up to 4 times over 2 weeks. During this time, your account remains active. If all attempts fail, your account reverts to the Free plan until payment is resolved.

Can I get a receipt with my school's name on it?

Yes! Update your billing information in the Stripe portal to include your school or district name. All future invoices will reflect this.

Do you accept purchase orders?

Yes, for School and District plans. Contact billing@classroompulse.io to set up PO billing.

Is there a student/teacher ratio requirement?

No. You choose the plan that fits your needs. If you have 25 students but want Professional features for TBFA, you can subscribe to Professional even though Essential would cover your student count.
