Overview
Professional+The Digital Behavior Intervention Plan (DBIP) system transforms traditional paper-based BIPs into a comprehensive digital tracking and monitoring platform. DBIP enables real-time data collection, fidelity monitoring, and progress tracking—all integrated with your existing behavior data.

Why Use DBIP?
Replace Paper Tracking
No more lost data sheets or illegible handwriting. All intervention data is captured digitally and organized automatically.
Ensure Fidelity
Built-in fidelity checklists ensure interventions are implemented as designed, with automatic tracking of implementation accuracy.
Real-Time Progress
See immediately whether interventions are working. No waiting for manual data compilation or analysis.
Team Coordination
Multiple implementers can record data consistently, with coaching features to support training and feedback.
DBIP vs. Quick Log
Setting Up a DBIP
Before you can track intervention data, you need to create a digital version of the student's Behavior Intervention Plan. This includes defining the interventions, expected procedures, and data collection methods.
Create new DBIP
Shows the DBIP creation form with student selection and intervention configuration
/images/help/dbip-create-new.pngCreating a New DBIP
- 1
Navigate to DBIP
Go to DBIP from the main navigation menu. - 2
Click Create New
Click the Create DBIP button. - 3
Select Student
Choose the student this DBIP is for. They must already have defined target behaviors. - 4
Link to BIP Document (Optional)
If you have an existing BIP document, you can link or upload it for reference. - 5
Define Interventions
Add each intervention from the BIP:- Intervention name (e.g., “First-Then Board”)
- Intervention type (antecedent, teaching, consequence)
- Implementation steps
- Expected frequency/schedule
- 6
Configure Data Collection
Set up what data to collect during sessions:- Behavior occurrences
- Intervention delivery (yes/no/partial)
- Student response
- Duration and intensity
- 7
Create Fidelity Checklist
Define the steps that must be followed for high-fidelity implementation. - 8
Activate DBIP
Review and activate the DBIP to begin tracking.

- • Visual schedule
- • Environmental modifications
- • Pre-teaching
- • Choice boards
Teaching
Skill-building strategies to teach replacement behaviors
- • FCT (Functional Communication Training)
- • Social skills instruction
- • Self-monitoring
- • Coping strategies
Consequence
Responses delivered AFTER behavior occurs
- • Differential reinforcement
- • Planned ignoring
- • Response cost
- • Redirection
Data Collection
DBIP supports multiple data collection methods to capture comprehensive information about intervention implementation and student response.
Data Types
Intervention Delivery
Did the implementer deliver the intervention as planned?
Student Response
How did the student respond to the intervention?
Behavior Occurrence
Did the target behavior occur during this session?
Replacement Behavior
Did the student use the replacement behavior?
DBIP data entry interface

/images/help/dbip-data-entry.pngQuick Data Entry
The DBIP interface is designed for fast data entry during busy classroom moments:
- One-tap responses: Large buttons for quick yes/no/partial entries
- Auto-timestamps: Session start/end times recorded automatically
- Offline support: Data saves locally and syncs when connected
- Voice notes: Add verbal notes that are transcribed automatically
- Templates: Pre-filled forms based on session type
Running Sessions
A “session” in DBIP represents a defined period where interventions are being implemented—such as a class period, therapy session, or structured activity.

/images/help/dbip-active-session.pngStarting a Session
- 1
Open DBIP Dashboard
Navigate to DBIP and select the student. - 2
Click Start Session
Click the Start Session button. - 3
Select Session Type
Choose the type of session:- Classroom instruction
- Structured activity
- Free time / Unstructured
- Transition
- 1:1 intervention
- Custom
- 4
Confirm Interventions

Duration Timer
Track how long behaviors or interventions last
Quick Notes
Add context notes via text or voice
Ending a Session
- 1
Click End Session
When the intervention period is complete, tap End Session. - 2
Complete Summary
Fill in any remaining data fields and overall session notes. - 3
Rate Fidelity
If not auto-calculated, indicate overall implementation fidelity. - 4
Submit
Data is saved and synced to the cloud.

Fidelity Monitoring
Fidelity refers to how accurately an intervention is implemented as designed. High fidelity is essential—interventions that aren't implemented correctly can't be evaluated fairly. DBIP automatically tracks and reports implementation fidelity.
Fidelity monitoring dashboard
Shows fidelity scores over time, by implementer, and by intervention
/images/help/dbip-fidelity-dashboard.pngHow Fidelity is Calculated
17 of 20 intervention steps delivered correctly
Fidelity = (Steps Completed Correctly ÷ Total Required Steps) × 100
Fidelity Thresholds
Creating Fidelity Checklists
Each intervention can have a fidelity checklist defining the critical components:
Example: First-Then Board Fidelity
- Presented board before giving instruction
- Used clear, simple language
- Showed "First" activity visually
- Showed "Then" reinforcer visually
- Waited for student acknowledgment
- Provided reinforcer immediately upon completion
- Praised completion of "First" task
Fidelity Reports
By Implementer
Compare fidelity across different staff members to identify training needs
By Intervention
See which interventions are being implemented consistently vs. inconsistently
Over Time
Track fidelity trends to ensure maintenance or identify drift
By Setting
Compare fidelity across different environments (classroom, specials, lunch)
Low Fidelity = Unreliable Data
Coaching & Feedback

Baseline: 10% → Current: 45% → Goal: 80%
Decision Rules
Configure decision rules to get alerts when intervention adjustments may be needed:
Insufficient Progress
If: Less than 20% improvement after 4 weeks
Then: Review and modify intervention
Regression
If: 3 consecutive sessions above baseline
Then: Immediate team consultation
Goal Met
If: Target maintained for 2+ weeks
Then: Consider fading or new goal
Low Fidelity
If: Fidelity below 70% for 5+ sessions
Then: Provide additional training
